Kiddy Grade

Whenever I search for artwork, I always enjoy finding attractive guys in a show where women are clearly the main draw. This time around, the finds are Dextera and Sinistra from the anime series Kiddy Grade. Two more pieces of artwork and two screenshots are below. It should be noted that I'm not entirely sure if the second piece of art is official or not. I've seen this piece on quite a few sites, so I'm just going to assume that it is. Guild Wars

In most MMORPG's, the female characters are always beautiful and the male characters often are not.  However, there are usually some hot guys if you look hard enough...which is the case with these guys from Guild Wars.

  

  

 

 

The Guys Of Hunks Workshop

Hunks Workshop is a yaoi video game but it's not a "BL" one. This game is geared more towards gay men and features muscular guys. This type of artwork is often called by the name "bara" among anime fans (but not necessarily in Japan).



The artwork from this game is by a great artist by the name of Masanori. I've been a fan of his art for a while and I definitely encourage you to check out his site (linked in the sidebar under "Non-Worksafe Links") if you haven't already.

When Comics and Games Collide

It's always interesting to see comic book characters get a redo for video games.  I'm especially intrigued when comic book characters get rendered in CG since it can be difficult to make the great 2D character designs work in 3D.  For Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I think the designs and other artwork turned out pretty good.

  

  

 

Artist Spotlight: Taishi Zaou/Mikiyo Tsuda

Based on the title of this Artist Spotlight post, you might think that it features two different artists. You'd be wrong.

Taishi Zaou and Mikiyo Tsuda are one in the same person. Mikiyo Tsuda is a shoujo manga artist specializing in gender-bending shoujo. She is the creator of Princess Princess (a show covered here a while back), The Day of Revolution (about a boy who becomes a girl), and Family Complex (a manga about a boy dealing with his unusually beautiful family). Taishi Zaou is Mikiyo Tsuda's pen name for her yaoi work.

All three manga series by Mikiyo Tsuda I mentioned above are available in English from DMP. As far as I know, none of her stuff has Taishi Zaou is available yet in the U.S. although a lot of it has been scanlated.
