Video Game Week Day Two: Ninja Gaiden
Day two of Video Game Week continues with another covered hero, although this time he has a reason.
Ninja Gaiden is a long-running series of action games released by Tecmo. The game's first home incarnation appeared on the NES and it's more or less been around ever since. I have fond memories of playing Ninja Gaiden on my Game Gear (remember those?).
The game's hero is ninja Ryu Hayabusa, who also appears as a character in the Dead or Alive fighting game series. With his muscular arms the only part of his body that's usually exposed, there's a lot to leave to the imagination. Still, there's always something attractive about what you can't see.
The artwork in this post comes from the more recent Ninja Gaiden games, including one for the DS.
