Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex director, Kenji Kamiya produced a Pepsi NEX ad based on the characters from the classic Shotaro Ishinomori manga/anime, Cyborg 009!
The said ad will begin playing in 41 stereoscopic 3D theaters in Japan on Friday and will play before the screenings of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strager Tides in theaters of the Warner Mycal Cinemas chain.
The creator group Sanzigen, Dandelion, and the anime studio Production I.G collaborated on the production who also animated the 3D Cyborg 009 project. This isn't the first time that an anime was involved on a Pepsi NEX ad, the on-going anime, Tiger & Bunny also has one Pepsi NEX ad.
