English Miku Project Update!

For Vocaloid fans out there, most especially, Hatsune Miku fans out there, on Miku's official fanpage, they made a status update regarding the upcoming English Miku Project. Here's the complete status update (by complete, no edits):

Regarding "English Miku" project, we've already done a brief recording
last week.
Now we are checking the pronunciation etc.
Those voices are very kawaii you should like them!
...I hope we'll show you a demo soon.
But please understand it takes time.

The English Miku Project started after Hatsune Miku's Official Facebook Fanpage reached over 39, 390 fans. Number 39 is a pun for the Japanese pronunciation of the numbers 3 (san) and 9 (kyu) and the Enlish phrase, thank you. Hence, 39, 390 means "Thank You! Thank You!"

Hatsune Miku to Sing in English... WAIT.

The official Twitter account for Crypton Future Media's Vocaloid2 CV series of virtual singer software confirmed that Hatsune Miku's Official Facebook account has over 39,390 fans.

The said account added that the staff will "officially inform that 'Hatsune Miku sings in English' later." Crypton President Hiroyuki Itoh had revealed at New York Comic Con last month that his company is planning a English version of Hatsune Miku, and he asked for 39,390 fans to show their support on Facebook to demonstrate the demand.

The number 39 can be read in Japanese as "Miku" or "thank you" or sankyū.
