Maid-sama! Episode 1 Filipino Dubbed

Got a problem with Kaichou wa Maid-sama! being dubbed? Just listen to it first before making any rash comments

To those who don't have QTV on their area, or just some person how it will sound like, here is the first episode of Kaichou wa Maid-sama! in Filipino that aired last January 6, 2011.

First impressions on Misaki and Usui and since I haven't watched the Japanese version or Animax Asia's crappy English dubbing, I will rate it with my own standards. For starters, Misaki's voice fits with the personality of the character but the only problem is, her VA lacks the "angry authority voice" that Misaki supposed to have. I hope that over time, she will earn that voice. As for Usui, it fits. It perfectly fits! Seriously, his voice matched with the personality and the look of the lead.

As for the overall dub, I have no problems with it. Seriously, is it me or Alta Productions is improving for the past few months? Look at the Dragon Ball redub, it sounds good! Also, Hayate no Gotoku on QTV, even with problems with Hayate's voice, the rest of the cast sounds good! Hopefully, QTV will finish Maid-sama's run before turning it into a TV news station.

Special thanks to Zen Otaku Honbu for the recording!

Maid-sama on QTV this January 2011!

While watching the Dragon Ball run on QTV, during the commercial break, I spotted the TV ad for Kaichou wa Maid-sama, which will be called as Maid Sama! (with no dash!) yup, QTV has just got one of Spring 2010's most watched title will hit free TV screens next year!

Based on the ad, Takumi Usui will be voiced by someone familiar while Misaki will be voiced by an unfamiliar VA (I will not mention names to prevent misinformation)!

Kaichou wa Maid-sama has just ended in Japan last September 23, 2010, and Maid Sama! will premiere on QTV this January 6, 2011, making it almost more than 3 months after it ended in Japan! If my memory serves me correctly, this is the second fastest acquired anime title in TV! With Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood on TV5 on the first place with seven weeks after it premiered in Japan!

Kaichou wa Maid-sama premieres on QTV this January 6, 2011 at 4pm, replacing Shin Mazinger Edition Z on the timeslot. Now, how can I watch this title on TV considering that QTV is not available in the place that I am staying!

Special thanks to Zen Otaku Honbu for the video.
