Ukiya's Fanboy Escapade!

 Yes, some plans went a little derailed.

My plan for yesterday was this, go to SM Bacolod and watch the auditions of Talentadong Pinoy and laugh at the contestants who will do something stupid. Yes, it sounds rude but it was my plan. I was now on the venue when I spotted one of those who are screening the contestants... its THE Makata Tawanan! I was like, OMG! OMG! The man, in my opinion, supposed to be the Ultimate Champion! That my friends, is the start of Ukiya's Fanboy mode.

*Insert Random Anime/Toku Opening sequence*

Most of the people who saw my reaction when I saw Makata Tawanan starred at me and said to themselves, "Who the hell is this weirdo?" After watching a couple of contestants, I decided to leave the place since 3/4 of the talents are singing. I am afraid that sooner or later, I will hear a song coming from a certain "Celine Dion".

Next, I went to the nearest ATM machine to withdraw cash, since I don't have chance, I decided to instead of shopping for groceries, watch Iron Man 2, since, hey, I got my allowance and I am going home to Zamboanga this Friday. This is when my fanboy mode went *coughs* EXTREEEEME! I bought my ticket for Php 100 even though 3D is being offered for Php 200. Seriously, what's the difference? I am still watching the same film except I am wearing glasses.

Anyways, I entered the theater halfway of the film. The scene was Rhodey is wearing the Mark 2 suit and he is fighting Tony. Fast forward to that, what made my geek levels destroy Vegeta's scouter was this. Captain America's shield was turned into a stand. WTF?! It's both stupid and awesome at the same time! Another thing that made me go wild is the after credits of the film. Mjin.. Mil... what the heck, Thor's hammer was discovered in New Mexico! Sweet!

This is when my fanboy mode went extremes. I remembered that Alodia Goseingfiao will be guesting on a segment of Mel and Joey. Also, I learned from a certain YouTube video that Mel and Joey will feature a cosplay segement. To those who missed it, here it is.

To be honest, I was in my living room when I saw this. It felt like I was in heaven that time, I was, how could I say it, a kid inside a candy store. When I saw Project 8's cosplay, this is when my levels of being a fanboy rose to its fullest. If you are watching DBZ, I think you might say this, "IT'S OVER 9000!" The only downside of the cosplay segment is this, Nazca Dopant's name was misspelled. Small disappointment but its okay. About the segment, it is well balance and I thought knowing GMA's current reputation in terms of anime, will screw this up, but nope, they didn't screw it.

Where in the World is UkiyaSeed?

For the past two weeks (or three), I have been missing in action due to the following reasons.

Reason A: I went on a vacation back home.

Reason B: Our house has slow internet speed, which, when I returned it became slower than the usual dial-up because of a certain virus (or worm) causing it to be slower, hence, I cannot go net surfing.

While missing, I decided to separate On Analysis segment in two parts: The regular On Analysis, which discussed topics that are more serious and Ukiya is Bored, which discussed anything I would like to discuss that has sense… and decided to add some of my previous post under those categories.

I will finish the Nostalgia Trilogy this week, and while missing, I am thinking about the Best Pinoy Anime Dubs of the Decade. I had hard time thinking about it, so, I decided to choose the Top 10 best dubs in each free TV local stations, namely, ABS-CBN, GMA and TV5. Also, the Best Pinoy Anime Character Dub of the Decade, which I come up with Top 10 in these three categories: Male, Female and Group. Take note, I will use free TV, so, don’t expect something from Animax, Cartoon Network or Hero.

Now, what I am doing for the past two weeks? Watched anime DVD’s namely: Fushigi Yuugi OVA’s Series 1 and 2. I had a third series OVA but it has Chinese subs. Followed by: FMA First Series, Canaan, Valkyria Chronicles. Some toku namely, MaDan Senki RyuKenDo and half of Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger. I also watched Hellsing but I stopped because of bad English dub. I mean seriously, some characters tried their best in faking an English accent… and failed. Some of the characters lack the oomph or the force in some scenes.

Played YGO! Power Chaos: Yugi the Destiny and Plants vs. Zombies, watched Hayate the Combat Butler and 2NE1 TV which is available in free TV.
