Street Fighter x Tekken Game Announced
In the recent 2010 Comic-Con, leading video game publisher, CAPCOM, announced that the team-up of the two of the most popular fighting games are in the works. Behold Street Fighter x Tekken video game for the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360.

The announcement was made by Super Street Fighter producer, Yoshinori Ono during the recent Comic-Con event held at San Diego, California. According to him, “This is history we're making. Two fighting games that have rivalled each other are finally standing on the same stage. This isn't just a showdown between Tekken and Street Fighter, but a decisive battle for Capcom and Namco Bandai Games. So I'm going to give it my all.”

The Street Fighter x Tekken video game will be using the same technology used in Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV, 2D gameplay will feature fully realized 3D character models battling for domination in both new and familiar highly detailed environments that are brought to life with engaging animations.


Street Fighter x Tekken will also feature a Tag Team combat where players select two fighters to deliver knockout assist attacks and special combos, similar to NAMCO's Tekken Tag Tournament.

So far, only four characters from each franchises are confirmed to be included on Street Fighter x Tekken video game. They are Ryu and Chun-Li for Street Fighter, and Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams for Tekken.

The release date for Street Fighter x Tekken video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is yet to be announced.

Apparently, there will be another game entitled Tekken x Street Fighter. The game is very much similar to this but done using NAMCO's Tekken game style.

Being a fan of Street Fighter, I am exicted about this game! I mean, fans dreramed that someday, Jin and Ryu would face each other and here it is!
