Hayate no Gotoku to be Adapted in Taiwan

The popular manga and anime by Kenjirou Hata, Hayate no Gotoku (Hayate the Combat Butler), will be adapted into a live-action series in Taiwan according to sources from Anime News Network. To those who don't know the series, it is about Hayate who serves as an all-around butler (By all-around, he cooks, fights bad guys, pilot a mecha, execute a Rider Kick to random bad guys, cross dresses. That all-around.) to Nagi for him to pay his 156,804,000-yen debt.

In this adapation, Park Shin-Hye (Stairway to Heaven, You're Beautiful, High Kick) will play as Nagi while Hayate will be played by George Hu (Hot Shot, Romantic Princess) will play as his butler, Hayate.

Based on my experience with Taiwanese adaptations, they try their best to be as close as its source material. But knowing the series, which is filled with anime, manga and tokusatsu references, plus they have a talking pet tiger, Tama, I am not sure if the Taiwanese drama can stay true to the original.
