We have reported last time that AKB48's Atsuko Maeda will play the cross-dressing Mizuki in the upcoming drama, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~Ikemen☆Paradise~ 2011 which will start in July. Recently, her manly "disguise" has been revealed!
Since Maeda will be playing a girl who disguises herself as a boy to enter an all boys school, she cut about 5 to 6 cm of her hair, and will also wear a male student’s school uniform. Maeda said, "I think I will look even more different without make-up. I can’t wait to wear boyish clothes."
The last time Maeda had hair this short was when she was 15 years old, she said bashfully, "I look totally different from before (when she was 15 years old). Does that mean I’m more mature now?"
This is the second Japanese Hana-Kimi drama, the first series aired in 2007 that starred Maki Horikita, Shun Oguri, and Toma Ikuta. South Korea is said to produce their own drama version of the popular manga.
