The September issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Gundam Ace magazine has announced on Monday that a new manga based on the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz video anime series has been green-lit.
Katsuyuki Sumisawa, the main scriptwriter of both the original Mobile Suit Gundam Wing television series and Endless Waltz, will pen the story scenario for the Gundam W: Endless Waltz: Haisha-tachi no Eikō (Gundam W: Endless Waltz: The Glory of the Defeated) manga. Tomofumi Ogasawara, the illustrator of several Gundam novelizations including Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front, is drawing the manga. More details on the Endless Waltz manga will be provided in the next Gundam Ace issue.
The current September issue also features the launch of Chōkyū! Kidō Butōden G-Gundam, a new manga adaptation of the Mobile Fighter G Gundam television anime series. G-Gundam's original director Yasuhiro Imagawa is scripting the manga, while Kazuhiko Shimamoto (Blazing Transfer Student, The Skull Man) and his Honō Production studio are drawing the actual manga.
