After Red Racer's dynamic return to lecture an Action Commander about traffic safety and had a female villain fall for his manliness, Cocoa Otoko's Kei Hosogai guest stars as Marvelous' old friend, Basco ta Jorokia on the show's 15th episode!
In the episode called, The Privateer Appears, a man and a monkey heads towards earth in a battleship, called Free Joker, resembling Zangyack's ship. At the same time, 3 giant Sugormin appears and starts wrecking havoc. Damaras seems to be behind this Sugormin attack, he seems to have an ulterior motive behind this. The Gokaigers uses GokaiOh to defeat the Sugormin and the man and his monkey reaches earth.
For some reason, Navi's treasure navigation was slightly different from usual and tells the crew that something dangerous is nearby. The Gokaigers head out to find the danger, only to see a giant monkey together with a strange man. The strange man, Basco Ta Jorokia seems to know Marvelous that he even calls him Marv-chan and tries to attack Marvelous.
In one of our older post, it mentions that Basco is Marvelous' old friend but why did he attacked Marvelous? According to the actor's blog post, he can't talk much about his role but he can only say this, he will play a completely evil role. He's even worried that children might throw rocks at him when he goes out in the streets! What's more is that Basco will be a semi-regular character in the series.
He also mentioned that he grew up watching Kamen Rider and Super Sentai and he is really excited about this new role since this would be his first role in tokusatsu. It is also to note that Shogo Suzuki who played Chiaki Tani/ShinkenGreen in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger is his band mate in Cocoa Otoko!
