The first teaser of the final installment of the Marvel Anime Series, Blade has just been released on the anime's official website! The site also reveals the staff and the voice actors of the upcoming anime.
The story revolves around Blade, a "Daywalker" vampire hunter who was born with vampire and human blood after a vampire attacked his mother. While visiting Japan on a mission, Blade tracks down Deacon Frost, the vampire who killed his mother. Blade confronts Existence, a mysterious organization composed of vampires modified by Frost.
Akio Ohtsuka (Metal Gear Solid, Black Jack, Ghost in the Shell) will be voicing Blade, Tsutomu Isobe (Black Lagoon) will be voicing Deacon Frost, Osamu Saka (Ghost in the Shell) will portray Noah Van Helsing and Maaya Sakamoto (Evangelion 2.0, Appleseed XIII, .hack, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children) will play the original character, Makoto.
Mitsuyuki Masuhara (Gungrave, Shigurui: Death Frenzy, Tenjho Tenge, Chi's Sweet Home) will direct the anime and Kenta Fukasaku (Battle Royale, Battle Royale II) will be providing the scripts for this title.
Marvel Anime: Blade will premiere on Animax Japan this July 1st.
