Just yesterday, the local Filipino tokusatsu community went a bit nuts with nostalgia thanks to the Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (One at Heart, Jessica Soho) feature entitled, Japan! Japan.
What's more is that most of the running time of the feature focused more on Hikari Sentai Maskman better known here in the Philippines as Laser Squadron Maskman. And for those who missed, here's the full episode:

The feature shows clips coming from the Filipino dub of the series, its fans whom years later, cosplayed another show coming from the Super Sentai franchise, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, the one who sang the show's dubbed opening and ending themes and lastly, the cosplay group kicking some Gormin and Unknown butt inside a train and some barren wasteland.
Did I mentioned that they also featured Ryosuke Kaizo, who played Takeru aka Red Mask's wife who is a Filipina? Still can't believe me about the last bit, here's a set of photos of Red Mask and his family. Asides from Maskman, the feature also features an avid Hello Kitty collector, an avid anime toy collector and a guy who customizes his own toys into classic Filipino superheroes.
THOUGHTS: The Maskman feature was lightly researched. Period.
