After the confirmation of Takeru Satoh's (Kamen Rider Den-O, BECK, Ryoumaden) involvement in the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin live-action movie as the lead actor, 17-year-old actress, Emi Takei (Asukō March! -Kenritsu Asuka Kōgyō Kōkō Kōshinkyoku-, Ai to Makoto) has been cast to play Kenshin's love interest, Kaoru Kamiya!
The film's director, Keishi Ōtomo said regarding Ms.Takei, "Takei is going to be a big-name actress, without a doubt. She has a innocent-looking face, but she is determined in her work."
