Escaflowne and Yatterwan Cheers Up Japan!

It seems that we will still see more mecha drawings that is meant to inspire people in Japan to rise up after the disastrous earthquake and tsunami that shook Japan last March 11. This time, Shoji Kawamori (Macross, Escaflowne, Aquarion) contributes for this cause!

The image found on top was posted on Sneaker Bunko's official Twitter account. Asides from that, the mechanical designer for Gundam, Kunio Okawara who posted last time an image of the classic Gundam carrying a Japanese flag which says, "Do your best, Japan!" returns and this time, made an artwork of the classic Tatsunoko Productions anime character, Yatterwan from the anime, Yatterman which he posted in his Twitter account!

Even if the disaster happened two weeks ago, it seems that Japan still continues to support those who are affected in this disaster! This is a lesson that we should learn. We should not forget the past and instead use the past to be inspired to make a better future.

Yatterman Special Aired on TV5... Bummer.

Yes folks, TV5 was able to air the Yatterman Special that I want to watch... badly. If someone knows where I can watch either the Filipino dub OR the English sub of this special, tell me! A reason why I wasn't able to watch this, it is because of my summer classes.

Yatterman TV5 Update!

They official posted this on their Facebook Fanpage just earlier.

Based on the information given on their fanpage, Yatterman will air a parallel run starting May 3 at 6pm. Here's how they will air it explained by the admin of the page.

In simple terms, this is how Yatterman will air. May 1 will be Episode 1, May 2 will be Episode 2. Then, May 3 will be Episode 1, May 4 will be Episode 2, May 5 will be Episode 3 and so on... then at May 8 will be Episode 3 and May 9 will be Episode 4.

Even if they will air this way, at least we have weekend anime! And that's the point! 

UPDATE: Casshern Sins will not air the same way. Bummer.

Tatsunoko Remake Fever This May On TV5 Animega!

Just earlier, TV5 Animega posted this on their Facebook Wall. Next month will be Tatsunoko Fever with two Tatsunoko remakes back to back! Namely, the 2008 remake of Yatterman and the reboot of the classic anime, Neo Human Casshern, Casshern Sins! 

Yatterman premieres a day before the premiere of Casshern Sins! Now, I have more reasons to come home early!

Yatterman 2008 Remake To Replace Masked Rider Hibiki?

Just a couple of minutes ago, TV5 Animega posted this on their Facebook Wall.

With this description:

Mag-ingat na ang mga kalaban, dahil nandito na ang YATTERMAN! Abangan dito sa TV5 AniMEGA!!!

Which translate as:

Prepare evil doers, because YATTERMAN has arrived! Soon only on TV5 Animega!

Since Masked Rider Hibiki is ending this week, could this mean that Yatterman will replace it? To those living under the rock, this Yatterman version is the 2008 remake of the original Yatterman anime produced by Tatsunoko Productions best known for Gatchaman, Speed Racer and some religious anime like The Flying House and Superbook.

This show was shown on the TV5 Trade Launch that happened weeks ago. Since its a remake of a classic anime, I want to see how this show would end up. So stay tuned!
