Naruto: Hatake Kakashi 03

Hatake Kakashi was introduced as the leader in charge of Team 7, a new ninja team including Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Haruno Sakura. At first, he was thought to be a weak character as he has a tendency to lose track of time, and is thus frequently late to his appointments. However, as he was testing his students, Kakashi revealed himself as a strong opponent to the point he fights while reading “Make Out”, a series of erotic novels.

It was later revealed that Kakashi was actually the infamous “Sharingan no Kakashi”. He possessed the eye technique known as the Sharingan in his left eye which granted him the ability to mimic the movements and as well as the jutsu of others.

Awesome cosplay! I checked out MemoSite.cn, and it looks like the site is down. Too bad, I would have loved to have seen more of Photographer Len’s work. Thanks again to Jerald for sending this in!

7!! Sings For Naruto Shippuden!

7!!, a band that debuted back in March 30th with the single, Falling Love, which was the theme song for the movie, Koukou Debut. Now, the group’s second major single was picked up once again as a theme song, only this time, it’ll be for the popular anime, NARUTO Shippuden!


Titled Lovers, this will be Naruto Shippuden's 9th opening for the show's 10th season. The single will be released on June 29th. The coupling song with the single, Primitive Power will be the 8th opening theme song to NARUTO ~Shounen hen, a re-run of the first original anime series with different opening and ending theme songs.


For those interested to see the actual opening sequence for Naruto Shippuden's 10th season, you can check it on top, flipped. The show's tenth season focuses on the Summit of the Five Kages in which Madara crashes in and tells his plot for world domination.

Naruto X Uniqlo OVA Review

Naruto is a manga series that has his own anime created by Masashi Kishimoto while Uniqlo is a shirt company. This year, they have released special Naruto shirts and along with it, a special OVA with Aqua Timez singing the soundtrack! Is the OVA good even if it last for more than 6 minutes (by more than, its less than 7 minutes)?

The plot of the OVA is about Naruto vs. Sasuke in the Shippuden anime while were at it so that it won’t spoil a lot of fans, they decided that the most part of the OVA will be dedicated with flashbacks! Boo! I want to see Sasuke kick Naruto’s ass! To be honest, I find it kinda lame. The flashback scene actually helps if you haven’t watched Naruto for a long time and you are not aware on what happened with Naruto and Sasuke after all these years but since I keep on track with the series by reading the manga, I am not interested with it.

If I find the OVA kinda lame, then why I talk about it? That is because we have the first shots of Kabuto, with Orochimaru’s attributes with Madara in his new mask. To those who are wondering why he wear a new mask, that is because he grabbed Nagato’s Rinnengan and placed it on his eye. As for the animation, same with the quality with the later opening sequences in the anime.

Overall, if you are just interested in seeing the anime version of Kabuto being possessed by Orochimaru (it’s quite a mouthful, I will use Kabutochimaru!) and Madara with his new mask, watch but if hate flashbacks, just see the screencaps on top but if you want to listen Aqua Timez’ song for this OVA while seeing Naruto flashbacks, watch.

What is Japan's Favorite Manga Move/Weapon?

Cobs Online surveyed its registered users regarding this question: Among the weapons or moves used by the main characters of manga, which one do you want to use? And from the 238 male respondents and 467 female respondents, Son Goku's signature move, Kamehameha (Lit. Turtle Destruction Wave also known as Kamehame Wave) is their move choice! Here is the breakdown of the survey!

Among 238 male respondents in their 20s, these were the top choices:

1. Kamehameha - Dragon Ball with 65.5% of the votes

2. Hokuto Shinken - Fist of the North Star with 19.3% of the votes

3. Amakakeru Ryū no Hirameki - Rurouni Kenshin with 11.3% of the votes

4. Gomu Gomu no Gatling - One Piece with 7.6% of the votes

5. Rasengan - Naruto with 6.7% of the votes

Among 467 female respondents in their 20s, these were the top choices:

1. Kamehameha - Dragon Ball with 63.5% of the votes

2. Gomu Gomu no Gatling - One Piece with 15.4% of the votes

Naruto 515 – 4th Great Ninja War Prologue

 

It has been a while since I did a review for a Naruto chapter. The reason why I didn’t do a reviews is that the later chapters is not worthy to be reviewed in my opinion… till this one came along.

Spoiler Alert! The following contains major kickass music courtesy of 30 Seconds to Mars… and minor zombie references.

To give you a quick run on things, here is what happens in the previous chapters… in a nutshell. Konan dies and we learned the truth behind Nagato’s Rinnengan, Kabutochimaru appears and summons a bunch of former Akatsuki members and lastly, Naruto is stuck in a large turtle island to “protect” him from Akatsuki who is now making its move. Oh, I forgot, Madara now dons a new mask and carries two eyes, namely, Sharingan and Rinnengan.

Here’s how the first few pages go, after Deidara’s attack, the Kage returns and now the council of Kages are now planning on their war against Akatsuki. Meanwhile, Akatsuki captured Yamato. I smell an army of freed tailed beast popping out! Back at our protagonist, he slowly smells the fishy side of things… hmmmm.

Like I always do, to prevent major spoilers, here’s more clippings coming from the chapter!

And so, it is decided. This would be the name of the great ninja nations unified as one to stop Akatsuki, they are now called... Shinobi!

 Team Kankuro!

Warning to the people, the good and the evil... this. Is. War.

It's the moment of truth and the moment to lie...

The moment to live and the moment to die...

The moment to fight, the moment to fight, to fight, to fight, to fight!

And so, the prologue of the 4th Great Ninja War begins, and all ninjas of both sides are using their best arsenal to defeat their opponent. Who will win? The Alliance of Shinobis? Or Akatsuki?

If I will do an analysis between the two factions, as of now, Aktsuki has all the big guns while the Alliance of Shinobis wins in terms of number. Considering how the 3rd Hokage faced his mentors, 1st and 2nd, it seems the Shinobis will have a hard time dealing with Akatsuki. 

This would be one Thriller night! 

P.S. It seems this chapter confirms that the big kahuna of monsters this year are the zombies as proven in this chapter!

Naruto 504 - Thank You

 Umm, he just did at the age of 12.

Previously on Naruto Prologue: My Dad Will Be Saving a Village!, Minato has just done the hand seals for the infamous Dead Demon Seal! And now, for the finale.

Spoiler Warning! The following chapter contains marital arguments. If you hate those things, skip.

 Aaand the chapter begins with a marital argument. After Minato justifying about his case that taking care of the village is like taking care of a child, the finally decided to do the sealing.

Because of the seal, Nine Tails is pissed and now cursing the hell out on the 4th.

 Best. Scene. Ever. Can't wait for it to see this animated!

But before finally leaving, Mommy has first to give his reminders to Baby Naruto. That includes taking a bath, making friends, and other things that your mom will say to you.

I knew it! They do not want to influence their child with a pervert!

But before leaving, Minato summons a frog for his to give the seal to Jiraiya until the right time is ripe.

And so, they finally left. End of Flashback.

Naruto assures that their love has reached him. This is one of the most emotional scenes in the manga.

Naruto 503 - Minato’s Dead Demon Seal!

 Kishi, write a full-length story about this now!

Previously on Naruto Prologue: My Dad is Waaaay Badass than your Dad, Minato used his special Flying Thunder God Technique Level 2 that surprised the crap out of Madara. And so, the fight between no. 4 and the founder continues.

Spoiler Warning! The following chapter contains Iruka and he loves I mean, lieks One Piece! Also, review contains some pop culture references.

Y’all git hit with a boom! Boom!

Because of the attack, it made quite an effect on Madara and which caused Minato to come closer to Madara, in which we have this scene.

Oh noez.

And so, we saw a younger Iruka! Ah, I miss kid Iruka back in Naruto! XD

Iruka’s dad is Shanks?

And so, the army of ninja led by no. 3 had led Nine Tails out of Konoha!

And so, Madara confronts Minato…

Ah, how nostalgic!

We are returned to the young ninjas of Konoha who wants to go out in the battlefield but, Kurenai’s dad, Mr. Yuhi wants them to stay for the sake of the next generation.

And so, the scene back in episode one starts… minus the narrator audio!

Just like in the first episode, Nine Tails vs. Minato alongside with Gababunta… in full detail this time! It was intense. Minato teleported to grab Kushina, it’s time for them to set up the barrier. 

Minato used Vine Whip! It flinched!

Naruto woke up due to the attacks, which led to Kushina to say this…

Which led to one of the cheesiest scenes that I saw…

Oooh~! So cheesy!

You have got to be kidding me.

Gasp. So that’s how it happened… Minato sealed half of his chakra on Naruto alongside with Kushina’s due to the Dead Demon Seal just like the 3rd used to make!

Which led us to learn that Minato confirmed Jiraiya’s prophecy.

Narutard’s its time to master Dead Demon Seal!

It’s BOOM TIME!

Naruto 502 – The Fourth Hokage Goes to War!

Previously on Naruto, Minato heads out to confront Nine Tails, and so, this is were the legend of Namikaze Minato begins. The man who is responsible for saving Konoha from the Nine Tails with his son’s own life on the risk starts with the stories behind the attack being revealed. And so, this chapter will be best called as, Naruto Prologue: My Dad is Better than Your Dad! Believe it!

EXTREME SPOILER ALERT! This chapter contains enormous amounts of Minato awesomeness. Aside from that, this chapter contains amounts of cameos and a couple of pop culture references.

The chapter kicks off with these.

 Cue in the fangirls.

Wah. Sir Gai?! He seriously looks like a Rock Lee cosplayer...

It seems to be an ordinary day in Konoha, and the Third seems to be quite bothered. Which leads us to this scene.

Madara summoned the fox.

Aaand starts on its infamous rampage back in Chapter One.

Number Three heads out to face this Pokemon.

 See?

Anyways, before that he does that pose o top, Nine Tails uses his energy blast but Minato does this.

Flashy.


Madara pops out of no where and attacks Minato. While fighting, Madara tries to use his teleportation technique on him... and failed since Minato teleported BEFORE Madara teleports him!

After a couple of random intermission while fighting this Mask Man (Sentai Reference!), he duduces that this guy is Madara but knowing that Madara is probably dead, he disbelieves his theory. But whoever this guy is, our dear Yellow Flash doesn't want to see Konoha suffer.

And its a little crazier than usual for a guy who wears a mask.

Its the start of the clash of the titans! Mask Man vs. Girly Man. Place yer bets!

The fight was intense, it was a battle of speed like what ninjas should do! No talking just a match we see in a blur. Which lead to Minato owning this guy!

This. Is. Awesome.

Anyways, Chapter 502 is out!
