TV5 Animega is best known as the premiere Primetime Anime block. Last year, the block went on an Endless Eight, namely it suffered countless reruns due to the lack of funds. Now that TV5 is owned by Smart-PLDT's head honcho, Manny Pangilinan, we saw a promise of a bright future ahead of this Primetime Anime block. That's what we all thought.
A rumor circulated yesterday that Shrek 2 will premiere in Filipino at 7:30 pm, D.Gray-Man's timeslot. Because of this, the Philippine Anime Community went in a buzz because of the rumor. Just until today, when the schedule of TV5 was revealed on local broadsheets. As seen on your left is the schedule courtesy of TheSandies via Anime Kabayan via Facebook.
As you can see, all the shows from 6pm-8pm are Korean dramas. Is this the end of Animega? What happened to their promise back in their trade launch about the BEST anime shows for their solid Animega viewers? We will see later this evening.
Update: From Kevinkun, he spotted the new advertisement of Casshern Sins, it will now air Monday-Thursday at 6:30pm. So, we can conclude that Animega will start at 5:30pm. So schedule found in the newspaper turned out to be newspaper fail moment... again! That is why I never read program skeds in newspapers.
Update: From Jamibu, of the TV5 KOmmunity Forums, Yatterman (2008) moves to the 4pm timeslot.
