Gokaiger's First Henshin and Fight!

Better late than not posting this! Here's the scene where our heroic space pirates makes their dynamic entrance and beats the monster of the week along with his foot soldiers called, Gomins. While their at it, they decided to transform into three Super Sentai teams! Namely: Goranger, Shinkenger and Magiranger!

I love how they made their entrance! Captain Marvelous, being quite a boss decides to shoot the enemy first before all the Gokaigers transform into their respective Ranger forms. As for their fights, it felt too pirate-y in my taste... which worked. Also, even though it is advertised where they specialized at, they need to exchange some of their default weapons for they to showcase their fighting specialties.

As for their henshin sequence, seeing the Roman number, XXXV that stands for 35 fly towards them to "dress them" is a neat touch but I find it too distracting. While as for their other Ranger transformations, I loved that they gave additional effects to the Goranger's henshin sequence. To those who haven't watched at least a single episode of Goranger, the henshin sequence involves each member to do a spin. Now I am starting to wonder how will Red, Blue, Green and Pink transform into the JAKQ considering that they need to enter in a capsule!

As for the choice of teams to transform, Goranger is obviously the first choice since it is the very first Sentai team, Shinkenger is also an obvious choice thanks to Power Rangers Samurai and it being popular in Japan. For Magiranger, my wild guess is that for them to promote the MagiDragon toy... also, we have Kai Ozu appearing in the third episode.

As for the fights involving their other Ranger forms, I find it that they are utilizing the same fighting style like that of the Rangers they turned into. I guess I am just too used seeing Tsukasa fight in a different Rider form while being Tsukasa! Anyways, to those who are still bothered on why the football turned into a garbage truck, when the Gokaigers used Goranger Hurricane, it also happened years ago with the Gorangers. Don't believe me? Read this. As for their finisher called, Final Wave, I find it too plain for my taste.

Overall, the fight scenes where good for the first episode and properly highlights where they specialized at. The wire work looks good and their entrance has this sense of them being "better than the rest" which is a sign that this might be better than the other Sentai shows before them.
