Warner Brothers Japan revealed via Twitter that the original actors of the popular live-action series, Supernatural namely, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles will reprise their respective roles on the anime version of the first season!
Jared Padalecki will dub all 22 episodes of the said anime while his co-star, Jensen Ackles will only dub the last two episodes of the said anime which is disappointing considering that he did dubbing for video games such as, Tron Legacy and The Third Birthday and the animated Batman film, Batman: Under the Red Hood. The two respective portrayed the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean.
According to the official website for the anime, the DVD and BluRay Disc releases of the anime will launch in Japan on February 23 with Japanese/English soundtracks and Japanese/English subtitles. As of now, the official Us release date has not yet been set but it is expected that a DVD of the entire series will be released.
