Remember the episode were Mephisto contacted his younger brother? Guess what, it seems that he is indeed evil beneath that really cheery dumb man persona of him. Also, turned out to be that training is actually the exam… and those two guys, the one with a hood and a puppet didn’t do a thing. And I thought that Mr. Neuhaus will kill Rin! Or is it?
Few things to note in this episode before doing the detailed review, first, I noticed that it seems that Rin is getting along quite well with Bon and his boys, second, those two guys who don’t do a thing actually speaks! Lastly, Pheles’ true objective in this series is quite unclear since he looks like he sides with Satan but he also sides with the Exorcist.
Now to the episode, the episode just continues the thing that was established in the previous episode, and that is Neuhaus wants to kill Rin so bad, and they properly explained the reason! I guess his reasons in killing Rin is quite reasonable since he is one of those few people who survived the Blue Night and he has every right to defeat some guy who is related to Satan. But one thing that bothers me, why did he decided to attack Rin instead of Pheles since both of them are Satan’s sons? What’s more is that in the end of the episode, he will guide Amainon, Pheles’ younger brother! Strange isn’t it?
As for this episode’s side dish, it is about Shiemi in this episode, she deserve the praise given by her teammates since in the previous episode, she prove that she is not there in the series for the sake of the series to have an attractive female lead for Rin to drool upon. As for the back story part, it was cute seeing a younger Yukio meeting Shiemi.
Overall, it was a good episode since it is about some guy who has a grudge with Satan but works with one of Satan’s son… which is still weird in my opinion. As for the action, I seriously love Rin using his sword which reminded me that Rin is still the star of this show and not his younger and more mature brother.
