For Bleach fans out there who are wondering when we will see an English release for the upcoming PS3 game, Bleach: Soul Ignition, NIS America reveals that they will release the game this August under the name, Bleach: Soul Resurrección! The game will be released in Japan this June 23.
This action/adventure game adapts the anime's Arrancar Arc which will depict "the battle between the Soul Reapers and the army of evil Arrancars that threaten the peace of the world." Atlus U.S.A., Inc. will be distributing the game.
The game has 21 characters locked in a fight with the Arrancar. The list includes Ichigo, Rukia, Uryu, and, Toshiro. Villains including Tia, Yammy, and Ulquiorra (Second Release) are playable too. Characters can be customized using the Soul Orb System, a system similar to Final Fantasy X's Sphere Grid System in which characters can unlocks new abilities.
For the Japanese version, the anime studio Pierrot animated the original opening sequence set to SID's theme song Ranbu no Melody, previously heard in the anime series.
