In this filler episode, we learned what will happen if Luka gets serious in playing cards and more Joe shenanigans! Lastly, even if it is not a JAKQ tribute, it received a lot of love in this episode.
If there is one thing I learned about this episode is that Luka is the most badass female Ranger I saw in Super Sentai. She cheats when she gets serious, she can turn anyone into her pawns and most especially, she can lead the entire team if she wishes toobut no, she must keep her power level down for Marvelous to stand out. If there is one scene that proves how good Luka is as the team leader, that would be this entire episode in which she planned everything.
One of my favorite scenes in this episode is the JAKQ scene. They recreated every part of the show's famous battle style, scene by scene. It was epic that this filler episode never felt like a filler episode, but more like a pseudo JAKQ tribute episode due to how the team acted, with Big One Luka leading them.
Overall, it is one of my favorite filler episode. Asides from its serious nature in which they need to steal the gigalonium found inside the ship, the fact that what can Luka do if she is serious proves that this team is indeed one serious threat. Another thing that this episode adds up is that they were able to use Joe's background as a former Zangyack soldier in this episode.
