Because that what happened later in the episode, a quick epic kitchen war with Ukobach, the demon who is cooking in Rin and Yukio’s dorm! Anyways, Yukio is being “stalked” by chicks who want him to eat their cooked lunch and Rin is having problems in terms of money… and food!
For starters, I love comedy filler episodes that have tendencies to review them separately that I did for episodes from Super Sentai, and anime is no exception in this treatment! Anyways, I seriously love the interactions between Yukio and Rin in this episode and especially Rin’s interactions with various people he want to slash his sword upon due to his anger and Yukio trying to control his temper!
Another thing to note, Yukio is more evil than he usually is, I mean seriously, in his mind, he doesn’t want to eat the lunches that the girls prepared for her and at the same time, he want to use the lunch that Rin prepared as an excuse for him not to eat their lunch! See what I mean that he is more evil than Rin?
As for Ukobach, the demon who cooks for the brothers, I love the guy. He is passionate in terms of food that he doesn’t want food to be wasted by throwing leftovers or food that he just prepared and just thrown in the trash for some dumb reason. Also, his cooking battle with Rin even if we didn’t see the entire battle was epic. And another thing, I love his form when he is angry. That’s how passionate he is in terms of food. Overall, it was a fun filler episode and it indeed lightens the mood for more serious events that will happen in the next episode.
