Aya Hirano Leaves her Agency



Voice actress and musician Aya Hirano's agency, Spacecraft Entertainment has confirmed that she is leaving the agency as of August 20th. She is best known for her roles in anime, namely, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's Haruhi Suzumiya which catapulted her to fame, Lucky Star's Konata Izumi and recently, Fairy Tail's Lucy Heartfillia.

The official Aya Hirano fan club, Aya Dama, will cease its operations on August 20. The club already stopped processing new applications or membership renewals on July 31. There is no word on Hirano's activities after her departure from Spacecraft Entertainment.

So what will happen to Aya Hirano's career now that she left her agency? Will she have new roles in anime after this fiasco? That is for us to find out in the near future.

Aya Hirano Confirms to Stop Performing For Now


Voice actress and singer Aya Hirano (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's Haruhi, Fairy Tail's Lucy) confirmed on her Twitter account on Sunday that her recently released best album, Aya Musuem will be her last musical release through the music label Lantis.

She wrote that when she had problems with her health last year, she wrote all about it on her blog, but she has a lot of lonely and frustrating memories of that time period. She also wrote that if she does feel like performing music again in the future, she will be sure to let her fans know. Hirano thanked her fans for their words of encouragement and asked for fans to please wait until she is able to perform music again.

Hirano performed theme songs for Lucky Star, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Seikon no Qwaser, Zettai Karen Children and various other anime. Hrano's 2009 single, Super Driver reached #3 on Oricon's charts.

Aya Hirano Prohibited to Act on New Anime Titles


Popular anime voice actress Aya Hirano reported on her Twitter account that she was prohibited by her management Spacecraft Entertainment to voice act on new anime titles since last year.

However, she said that she is thankful to still have some anime roles, since she can still continue acting on series with second seasons or extended runs. She will still continue to play the roles of Shizu in Maria Holic Alive (the second season of Maria Holic), Lucy in Fairy Tail (in the anime's second year), and Garnet in Jewelpet Sunshine (the sequel to Jewelpet and Jewelpet Tinkle).

Aya Hirano Voices Prishe for Dissidia 012!


There are rumors going around that she will stop doing voice over work because of her focusing on other things like a play or having a new album, but just recently, this rumor has been proven false because she will voice Final Fantasy XI's other representative, Prishe!

Prishe was first seen on the 1st Production Department Premiere Trailer of the game in which he approached the helmet-less Warrior of Light and so far, it is not yet confirmed on which side is she part of but most of them assumed that she is part of Chaos side due to Shantotto being part of Cosmos side in the previous game.

Her combat style is Combo Maker, described as freely combining moves and chaining them into special attacks. She attacks using a combination of White Magic and Monk Weapon Skills, such as Howling Fist and Backhand Blow for Brave Attacks, and her two trademark moves from Final Fantasy XI, Auroral Uppercut and Nullifying Dropkick, as HP Attacks. Aya Hirano to Release First "Best of" Album!


Singer and well-known voice actress, Aya Hirano (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, Fairy Tail) will soon be releasing her first “Best Of” album on April 20th!

The album, which is to contain both original and character songs, will come in three different forms. One such packaging includes a special collector’s edition that will contain a DVD as well. And as a fan of her songs, I can't wait!

Aya Hirano to Star on Wuthering Heights Musical


A musical of the classic novel, Wuthering Heights will open in Japan next July which starts Aya Hirano of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya fame as Catherine.

This would be Aya's debut on a stage play. She has gradually stepped away from voice acting roles this year as she pursued other avenues in the entertainment industry, such as television variety show appearances.

Aside from Ms. Hirano, former Morning Musume singer, Natsumi Abe will also play the role of Catherine. Aside from these two, Luna Sea singer, Ryūichi Kawamura will play the male lead, Heathcliff and Ikusaburō Yamazaki will also star as Heathcliff's rival for Catherine's affections, Edgar.
