MCS Releases Dekaranger vs. Abaranger!

Just recently, Dekaranger vs. Abaranger has been released by Midnight Crew Subs! Originally not planned by Midnight Crew Subs to release, but they decided to release it due to some problems with the original subbed version which was available for download.

Here's the full explanation from the translator, AbareAnon:
Wasn't planning on since it had already been done by TV-N. But then I downloaded their version and watched a couple of minutes. I noticed that they've translated things incorrectly, I simply assumed that they've done it through the whole thing and decided to translate it.

Yousuke Ito's Thoughts About Gokaiger Ep. 5!

Last week, Yousuke Ito better known as Senichi "Sen-chan" Eniri aka DekaGreen decided to open his UStream account and post a live video of him watching Gokaiger's fifth episode which features his team, Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger!

In the video, he expressed his excitement about this episode and most especially, he can't wait to see his old team again. He also mentioned that he watched Gokaiger Ep. 3 and remembered Kai Ozu. Before the episode started, he surfed online and answered questions regarding his character from Tensou Sentai Goseiger, Magis/GoseiGreen. He was asked what will be GoseiGreen's pose and if he can be revived. Wow, even if he appeared briefly in the show, he quite a popular character!

During the episode, Yousuke jumps up and down in excitement over the police fighting scene with Jasmine and points out any material that's Dekaranger related that he can spot, like the SP License, D-Wapper, and the D-Sword Vega. He is also thinks that Captain Marvelous is awesome and talks a lot on how awesome Boss is!

Yousuke questions if the Zanyack Empire could be Alienizers (the main group of villains from Dekaranger). He also comments that he never saw Boss bleed in the original series. He also admits that he didn't watch much Go-Onger and comments that there is a female Black Ranger when GokaiPink transforms into Go-OnBlack.

Yousuke was impressed with the action and fight choreography for the Dairanger scene. And like most of us, he finds GokaiGreen's pose weird, and refers to it as, "Pulling down the pants pose." More on those Green Rangers, he is excited to see the Gokaigers transform into Dekarangers and loves to see DekaGreen appear. At most times during the Dekaranger scene, he refers the DekaGreen suit as "me" and laughs about how awkward GokaiGreen is in the DekaGreen suit!

Yousuke expresses confusion and slight disappointment on why Boss didn't transform into DekaMaster like most of us. Also, he thinks that the GokaiOh is awesome along with the controls of the cockpit. Asides from that, he was impressed with the CGI in this show and it has come a long way over the years.

And like most of us, Yousuke also laughs at Ban's hair! He also points out that Boss is the main guest of the episode, while Jasmine and Ban appeared just briefly. At the end of the episode, he sang along with the show's ending theme, Super Sentai Hero Getter... or tries to sing with it. He hopes to see the Dekarangers in the ending theme, oh well. Lastly, he hopes that there will be a second Dekaranger episode in Gokaiger.

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger 05 – Judgment Pirates

In this episode, Jasmine makes her comeback along with Doggie and Ban, but mostly Doggie and the space police arrest Marvelous for multiple counts of piracy… and he is not aware of it! What will the Gokaigers do now that their Captain is on the hands of a giant alien dog?

If there is one thing that I hate about this episode is that Koichi Sakamoto made the entire episode feel like I am watching Power Rangers SPD due to the amount of wire work found but hey, SPD is a good show so I have no problems with the wire work! Anyways, the action is really good, especially Marvelous’ out of suit fights with Doggie… and his hands are cuffed while he fights Doggie!

As for the lesson that Marvelous learned in this episode, to be exact, it was the opposite, Doggie learned something from Marvelous, about their honor and that they will do everything just to protect it. To be honest, I was expecting that Doggie will teach them the value of right judgment, but hey, I have no problems with what is the theme of this episode since it is close with Dekaranger’s theme.

In this episode, they transformed into Go-Onger, Dairanger and Dekaranger. Like Koichi Sakamoto promised, he will throw a reference to Power Rangers, and it is in the form of GokaiYellow using the wheels on her cuffs as offense… and RPM is the only show who utilizes Go-Onger’s wheels as offense! Cool. The Dairanger fights are really good, seriously, even if they retained the fight styles of the original teams, they added their own spice! Don using the broom as a rod, anyone?

As for the Dekaranger fights, it is really good asides that they used the Dekaranger theme while they are fighting the MOTW. My only disappointment is that unlike the Magiranger fight in which they used the MagiPhone, they never used the SP License and cast upon “Judgment” to the MOTW! It is understandable considering that they are not police officers in the first place!

For the DekaGokaiOh, it looks better compared to the MagiGokaiOh since it doesn’t have a giant dragon head in front of its chest. Anyways, I love how they use the CGI with its fights, it is well balanced with the action footage and also pulled a couple of Dekaranger references while they are at it!

For the Dekaranger cameos, I was disappointed with Ban’s appearance… a bit. Sure, he matured a lot and it is fine with me but I was disappointed that he never did much in the episode asides that he gives his speech about them using their powers properly. Also, I noticed his voice matured a bit… and he never screamed for once. EEEEHHH?!

Overall, it is one great episode. Asides that we have Doggie being the “mentor” figure instead of Ban (I would laugh if Ban will play the mentor role, no seriously), the fight scenes are really good and that we saw a couple of the Dekarangers again.

Ban, Jasmine & Doggie Returns in Gokaiger!

After Kai made his cameo in the previous episode, and will test Don's courage according to the preview, it is officially confirmed that Banban "Ban" Akaza/DekaRed, Marika "Jasmine" Reimon/DekaYellow and Doggie "Boss" Kruger/DekaMaster, are set to return in the 4th and 5th episode of Gokaiger!

Their return was confirmed in a the latest episode guide for Gokaiger. According to rumors, Doggie will help Joe hone his skills as a swordsman. Asides from that, their respective actors Ryuji Sainei, Ayumi Kinoshita and Tetsu Inada will return to reprise their roles as Ban, Jasmine and Doggie respectively.

The only thing that is clear right now is that, they will return as members of SPD. No further information has been stated about their return, and thus, expect upcoming updates in the following days. Just recently, the summaries of the upcoming three episodes coming from TV Taro has been released!

Episode 4: Why are we Comrades?
Joe completely loses to Zodomas in swordsmanship, he refuses help from the crew until he can win. The crew starts to grow worried.

Episode 5: Judgement Pirates
Doggie Kruger appears and arrests Captain Marvelous. The two of them encounters Macbeth who is trying to uses missiles to destroy the world. Action Commander Buramudo appears.

Episode 6: The Most Important Thing
Luka starts working for the millionaire, Takakura. Action Commander Nanonanoda appears.

Koichi Sakamoto directs the show's episode 5 and 6. To those who don't know, Koichi Sakamoto is the director for Kamen Rider W RETURNS: Kamen Rider Accel and Kamen Rider Eternal and also directed Kamen Rider W FOREVER: AtoZ/The Gaia Memories of Fate. But most Western fans know him as the stunt director and executive producer of Power Rangers. Yes, a Power Rangers director on Super Sentai!

Episode 7: Niki Niki! Training Kenpo
Action Commander Pachakamakku 13 appears. Based on the title, it seems it is related with Gekiranger. As of now, it is not yet announced who are the cast members will return, but most likely, Jan will return.

And if you noticed the name of this episodes Monster of the Week, Pachakamakku or Pacha Kamaq XIII is somewhat a descendant or related to the space kenpo user Pacha Kamaq XII from Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger vs Gou Gou Sentai Boukenger.

UPDATE 1: Placed episode summaries.
UPDATE 2: Placed additional info about the summaries and the episode 7th monster of the week.
