FFIV: The Complete Collection - Interlude

It was earlier announced that an additional scene called the Interlude will be added to the upcoming game, Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection which packs FFIV and FFIV: The After Years in a single game. The said scene will tie up the events that happened prior to the events in The After Years and the events after the end of Final Fantasy IV.

Just recently, Famitsu unveiled the details regarding this scene and it will begin in Damcyan Castle! Takahashi Tokita, director of The After Years and one of the original designers on Final Fantasy IV, developed this additional episode.

Cecil, now the King of Baron and married to Rosa, comes into contact with a light that informs him about something. First seen in a dark room, is this a dream? Queen Rosa wakes up Cecil informing him Edward finished rebuilding Damcyan and everyone is heading there to celebrate.

Rydia returns from Feymarch (also known as the Land of Summoned Monsters) for the reunion, there are also other characters in the said reunion, but it wasn't specified who are the other characters. Asides from that we have screenshots of the fire crystal flickering and Wedge, a member of the Red Wings who will play an important role in The After Years.

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection will be released in Japan this March 24 while on April 19 in Europe and North America.

FF IV Complete Collection PSP Trailer

This. This is one hell of a Christmas gift. Anyways, as we all know, FFIV was remade for the DS two years ago and later, its sequel FFIV: The After Years which is first available for mobile phones was released, and in the US, for the Wii. Now, we have this.

Yep, you are not blinded, the CGI sequences from the FFIV DS remake are back, and this time, part of this bundle is FFIV: The After Years, with CGI sequences and more love for Ceodore and Dark Kain! Now, how does my Rydia look like after 17 years, same case with Palom. Also, the return of the retro fight screen, this really screams the PSOne remake of FFI and FFII!

Dissidia 012 - Alternate Costume Galore!

On the latest scan, we saw more alternate costumes for the upcoming Disssidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy game! And it seems, more love for FFIV and FFVII! Since it is a whole scan, I decided to castrate? it for your own viewing pleasure.

First, Final Fantasy IV.

First, Cecil's new alternate costumes are his outfits first seen in the Final Fantasy IV DS remake. In case you played the game, we never had the chance to see this form in action aside from the opening sequence of the DS game.

To remind you, here's the opening sequence of the DS remake:

Golbez's alternate costume is his outfit in the Cellphone/Wii game, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, which was set seventeen years after the original game. In the said game, he was first identified as the Man in Black that appeared in Rydia's Chapter.

 Now, Final Fantasy VII.

Cloud's alternate costume is his Yoshitaka Amano artwork (on your right).

And Sepiroth's alternate costume is his original outfit in Final Fantasy VII.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy Sequel Screenshots!

Promo art for 012 Dissidia.

Yes. I was surprised when I saw this. Due to the success of the first Dissidia: Final Fantasy game on the PSP, we now have the sequel called Dissidia Duodecim. The world, Duodecim in Latin means "twelve." Does this mean that we might have twelve new characters or does it mean something else? Anyways, here are some screenshots from the upcoming game.

Can someone wake me up? Am I seeing my favorite Dragoon, Kain from FFIV pawning Cecil? [Happy Fanboy]

Lightning vs. Garland. Not that interested.

From the entire Final Fantasy roster, only FFIV's Kain Highwind and FFXIII's Lightning are confirmed to be added. Back then, Tetsuya Nomura wanted to add Lightning in the first Dissidia but because it might affect the development of FFXIII or spoil something from it, it was cancelled. This game is slated to be released on the PSP in Japan this 2011.
